Embrace the Tradition
The Holly Ball has changed throughout the years, and many wonder why the event is held now in February. We continue to honor the tradition and the spirit of those who started it all.St. Mary’s Hospital and Union Protestant Hospital Auxiliaries held the first Holly Ball on Thursday, December 28, 1961. Mrs. Christine McCuskey and Mrs. Marjorie Bailey, Auxiliary Presidents, greeted guests with their welcome message: “After the needles have dropped after holiday candles have burned out, your gift to the Holly Ball will still shine, bringing joy and helpfulness throughout the year, to the old, the young, the weary, the ill and afflicted. May this great spirit carry you through a bright and rewarding New Year.
Attention to Detail
Our guests remind us that it’s all about the special touches that bring them back year after year. From the moment they walk through the front door of The Morris, they are immersed in the atmosphere.
